Terms of use

SayScope is provided by PlanaJob Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 16872267, at Office 1782, 60 Tottenham Court Road, Fitzrovia, London W1T 2EW. Where these terms say we or us, that is who they mean.

You photograph a defect and say what is wrong. The app transcribes what you said and drafts line items from it, then gives you one document you can print, send as a PDF, or send as a link.

The line items are a draft. They are produced by software reading a photograph and a transcript, and software misreads things. You are the one who checks every line, and the report carries your name because you are the person standing behind it. Nothing in the app is a survey, a structural opinion, a valuation, or professional advice, and we do not hold ourselves out as giving any.

You can try your first walkthrough without an account. In the iPhone app, free sign-in with Apple or Google is required from the second walkthrough and links your work to your account. The browser version saves work in the browser you use; keep that browser’s data to retain access. Captures are associated with a random device key. The iPhone app keeps that key in secure device storage; the browser version keeps it in browser storage.

Until you sign in, that is worth understanding before you rely on it. Delete the app or move to a new phone, and that key is gone with it. A walkthrough no account has claimed is not recoverable, by you or by us, because nothing else ties it to you. Sign in so your walkthroughs follow you, or send yourself the report or the PDF of anything you need to keep.

Do not photograph people. The app is for buildings. Capture what is wrong with the property, not the people in it.

Do not capture what you have no right to capture. You need permission to be in the property and to record inside it. That is on you, not on us.

Do not attack the service. No automated scraping, no load testing, no attempt to reach walkthroughs other than your own, and no reselling the app as your own product.

Requests are rate limited. If you go past the limits the app will tell you and everything stays saved on your phone until it can catch up.

The photographs, recordings, addresses and reports you capture are yours. We do not claim ownership of any of it and we do not sell it.

You give us the permission we need to run the service on your behalf: to store your captures, to pass a recording to a transcription provider and a photograph and transcript to an AI provider so the draft can be written, and to render your report as a page and a PDF. The privacy page names every provider and says exactly what each one receives.

A share link lets anyone holding it read that one report with no login. That is what makes it useful to send, and it is also the risk: treat the link the way you would treat the report itself.

You control it. On the report screen you can switch a link off, which stops every copy of it including the ones already sent, or issue a new one, which does the same and hands you a working link for the people who should still have it.

Delete a capture and it goes from the phone and from the server, along with its photographs, clips and recording. Delete a walkthrough, from the walkthrough details panel, and the whole thing goes the same way: every capture, every line, every stored file, and the share link stops working.

Deletes made with no signal are held on the phone and carried up on the next connection, so a delete does not need you to be online to stick.

The app is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, that transcription will hear every word, or that a draft will be right. Capture can work offline after an initial online opening. AI drafting, uploads and sharing require a connection. A phone can still be lost, dropped or wiped, and the app is not a backup service.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, we are not liable for lost profit, lost work, or losses arising from a report you did not check before sending it.

Walkthroughs are free and unlimited. Each account sends one report a week free. Paying lifts the weekly limit and the item cap.

Walking a property is free and it stays free. There is no limit on walkthroughs, on photographs, or on completed reports you read on screen. Report exports and cloud AI have separate allowances. Paid plans increase the AI allowance and remove the weekly export and item limits.

One report every 7 days goes out free, covering up to 10 items. It is a complete report: nothing is blurred, watermarked or held back. Every report, free or paid, carries one line in the footer saying it was made with SayScope. Paying removes the wait and removes the limit on items.

AI writing has a fair-use allowance, counted in captures: one photograph with its spoken note, written up as an item. Free writes about 75 captures every seven days (150 AI operations, two per capture). Pro writes about 2,000 captures every 30 days (4,000 operations), shared across every phone signed in to your account. The allowance limits the writing, never the recording: photographs and voice notes are always saved, and the items are written when the allowance renews or your plan changes. Free AI writing can also pause when SayScope’s daily free capacity is full.

The prices below are the US App Store prices in US dollars, bought in the iPhone app. Paid plans are not on sale through the browser in the US.

SayScope Pro. $34.99 a month in the United States. Unlimited reports, every item on them. It renews every month until you stop it.

SayScope Pro, yearly. $299 a year in the United States, which is $120 less than paying monthly for a year. Unlimited reports, every item on them, for a year. It renews every year until you stop it.

One report. $19 in the United States. One report sent out with no cap on items, bought outright. It does not renew and it does not expire.

Everywhere else the price comes from Apple’s price list for your country, and the purchase screen shows it in your own currency before you buy anything. The figure on that screen is the figure you pay, tax included.

How the subscription renews. Apple takes the payment from your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. It renews automatically at the same price, each month on the monthly plan and each year on the yearly one, unless you switch auto-renewal off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple takes the renewal within the 24 hours before that point.

How to stop it. Open Settings on your phone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and turn SayScope Pro off. You keep unlimited reports until the end of the period you have already paid for. You cannot cancel from inside the app, because Apple keeps subscription management in one place.

Refunds are Apple’s to give, not ours, because Apple is the seller. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Stop using the app whenever you like. Delete your walkthroughs first if you want them gone from the server, because after you have cleared the app from your phone we can no longer tell which ones were yours.

We can suspend access that is being used to attack the service, to capture things it must not be used to capture, or to break these terms.

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to use the app after that is how you accept the new version.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
